Welfare Program

The Welfare Program of Hope Trust provides compassionate, Christ-centered support to families and individuals in crisis. We recognize that true restoration comes through Jesus Christ, and we are committed to meeting both physical and spiritual needs.

Key welfare programs include:

  • Home-Based Care: Assisting individuals in need with home visits while offering prayer, spiritual encouragement, and discipleship.

  • Psycho-Social Counselling: Providing emotional and psychological support to families affected by substance abuse, bereavement, and abuse, always pointing them to Jesus as their healer and redeemer.

  • Food Interventions: Supplying food relief as well as sharing the Gospel and discipleship.

  • Educational Support: Ensuring children have the clothing and stationery they need for school, while teaching them Biblical values and the love of Christ (Children’s clubs).

  • Children’s Reading Clubs: Reaching over 250 children with 6 afternoon clubs during the week.

  • Re-Loved Clothing Initiative: Providing second-hand clothing to families in need to create opportunity to start micro businesses and using this as an opportunity to share the love of Jesus with each family we serve.

  • Community Collaborations: Partnering with organizations such as Ekujabuleni Children’s Home and Edendale Hospital to distribute donations.

At the heart of our welfare ministry is the belief that Jesus is the answer. While we meet practical needs, we also offer hope, prayer, and the truth of the Gospel, knowing that lasting transformation comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
